Driftless Thresholds: A Fall Retreat for Rest, Ritual, and Renewal

October 22–25, 2026 · Red Clover Ranch · Soldiers Grove, Wisconsin

A four-day retreat at Red Clover Ranch in Wisconsin’s Driftless region, weaving yoga, meditation, creative ritual, sauna, cold plunges, and farm-to-table meals to support deep rest, reflection, and intentional transition into the darker season.

The setting

Celebrate the harvest and the changing of the seasons at Red Clover Ranch, nestled among black cabins, blazing trees, and the soft folds of Wisconsin’s Driftless hills. As autumn turns the land to gold and ember, we’ll gather to slow down, listen inward, and set our intentions for the coming season before we move toward a new year.

Come howl into the dark fall night and see yourself in the stars, reconnecting to your center and to something larger than yourself. Find stillness and silliness, softness and silence, frankness and beauty.

What we’ll practice

As the seasons change, ask yourself what wants to change within you. Move your body, still your mind, open your heart, and walk yourself home. We’ll be right beside you, walking too.

Over four days, we’ll weave yoga, meditation, and spacious rest with the elements of the ranch: fiery fall colors, hot sauna sessions, cold plunges in the biodynamic pool, and long, exhale-filled walks under the canopy of trees and undulating hills. We’ll share sustainable farm-to-table meals, lovingly prepared from local, seasonal ingredients, nourishing the body as we tend the heart.

Ritual & creative practice

Together, we create “shields” — personal totems made from intention and collaged images — as physical reminders to carry our prayers and commitments home. We work within an ancient matrix, a living framework I’ve been in relationship with for over a decade, to ground our visions in something timeless and true. Our shield ceremony will culminate in a bonfire and Saturday night dance party, giving our prayers and intentions a chance to move, sing, and breathe out under the open sky.

This practice invites you to meet the changing season with clarity and courage, so your inner landscape can align with the turning of the land around you.

What to bring

Bring yourself (all of yourself), your slippers, favorite clothes, a special pen, and something small to contribute: a poem, a painting, words of wisdom, cookies — whatever feels like a true reflection of you.

You may also want layers for cool fall weather and comfortable shoes for walking the grounds and trails.

Who this is for

This retreat is for over-achievers, creatives, and caretakers who are ready to set something down and remember what it feels like to be held. It’s for anyone longing for a meaningful pause: a chance to rest, reflect, and move into the next season with more intention, whether you are navigating big transition, quiet burnout, or a subtle nudge that something in you wants to change. You don’t need to be an advanced practitioner; openness, curiosity, and a willingness to participate are enough.
