Conscious Design
A transition doula tends the spaces, objects, and practices that help us cross life’s thresholds with intention—giving form to births, deaths, marriages, illnesses, and awakenings through altars, portals, and other resonant geometries that anchor us in larger patterns of time and cosmos. When we surround ourselves with such forms, the body responds, seeking coherence and alignment, just as cultures across history have used geometry and symbol to guide people back into inner resonance and as small talismans—like a birthstone charm or a post‑illness tattoo—quietly track our becoming. Working with the seen and unseen, a transition doula arranges objects, crafts thresholds, and invites specific ways of moving so that we remember our place on the wheel of life, our connection to ancestors and land, and the living conversation between the spaces we shape and the selves we are becoming.
